35th Sports Day of YCK2 第三十五屆陸運會

The 35th Sports Day of Yu Chun Keung Memorial College No.2 was held on 9th May at the Aberdeen Sports Ground in Wong Chuk Hang. We had invited the 2018 Asian Games women's marathon Hong Kong representative, Ms. VUT, Tsz Ying, as our officiating guest and 13 Primary school teams to participate in the invitational 4x100m relay tournament, which made the event more enjoyable.

The overall House Championship was won by Paul House. The boys’ senior and junior individual champions were Lee Chun Hin and Mcneill Marc Kelvin respectively; the girls’ senior and junior individual champions were Li Baosi and Olajide Blessing Temitayo. Finally, the primary boys’ and girls’ invitational 4x100m relay race were won by S.K.H. Tin Wan Chi Nam Primary School and Raimondi College Primary Section respectively.

After the award ceremony, the officiating guest, Ms. VUT shared with the students her experience as an athlete. She encouraged them to have dreams, to have courage to take the first step and persist so that they would have no regrets later in life. Her presentation was followed by the president of the Student Union, Cheng Ho Wai, who congratulated the award-winning schoolmates and thanked the teachers and student helpers for making the sports day successful. Principal Li spoke and thanked the guests, teachers, students, parents, and primary schools for their support. There then followed a school flag-lowering ceremony and finally the event ended successfully with Mr Yuen leading a rendition of the melodious school song.

余振強紀念第二中學第三十五屆陸運會於五月九日假香港仔黃竹坑運動場舉行。是次活動邀請得2018亞運女子馬拉松代表屈旨盈小姐擔任主禮嘉賓，並有十三所友校小學派隊伍參與接力邀請賽，使比賽生色不少。

光啟社勇奪社際全場總冠軍，男子高級和初級組個人總冠軍分別是5B李俊軒和2B Mark Von Pascual；女子高級和初級組個人總冠軍分別是5B李寶思和2B Blessing Temitayo。最後，男女子組小學友校4x100接力賽分別由聖公會田灣始南小學和高主教書院小學部力壓群雄，奪標而還。

頒獎禮後，主禮嘉賓屈旨盈小姐與同學分享運動員的經歷和體會，鼓勵同學要有夢想和勇敢踏出第一步，堅持下去，便無悔初心。接著，學生會會長鄭灝維恭賀得獎的同學，同時感謝各工作人員緊守崗位。李德輝校長感謝嘉賓、老師、同學、家長和友校小學的支持，讓同學懂得接受挑戰和享受比賽的樂趣。最後，全校師生肅立，面向徐徐降下的校旗，大會在一片悠揚的校歌聲中圓滿結束。
