A Splendid Debate Match

On 13th November, YCK2’s debate team faced St Paul’s College in the first round of Sing Tao Debate. The debate motion was ‘Hong Kong should introduce a remunerated blood donation scheme.’ With only seven days to prepare, our team members, David, Syabrina and Nigel, spent every day of the week busily preparing for the debate under the guidance of the professional debate coach, Miss Rita Pang. Although it was our first attempt to join such a renowned debate competition, our debaters had extraordinary performance with thrills and spills. This invaluable experience sharpened their skills on formulating strong arguments as well as developing their wit.

We appreciated the great instructions from Miss Rita Pang, the coach of debate team, and Miss Rachel Tsui and Mr Michael Leung, our English teachers.

The team's endeavour was well-recognised and we wish them have greater achievements in the near future.
